Yeah I think they look good, the one I've seen is called "Pitstop" Leather and Satin metal finish, from what i read about this particular model is that it fits over the OE one ???? There's a few diff finishes for this too. Anyone know if the universal ones are OK or are there specific ones for Imprezas out there...................

Hi dan just found this thread when researching your one.

To answer the original post Subaru only seem to list the Momo Carbon Effect Handbrake Lever in their official accessory list but that doesn't necessarily mean the others don't fit. This is mine with a matching **** fitted to a blob (2003).

All fitting instructions come with it but basically you cut the OE leather grip off with a blade as my fitter gave me it back with a slit down one side. The Momo one is slid over the lever & is locked in place with a grub screw.

If you do get one watch for the amount of travel as mine's a bit thicker than the OE one so doesn't drop into the slot so far, it rests on the edge. You just need to allow for that when setting the handbrake adjustment. HTH.

There are a few here a lot cheaper than Subaru are doing their one for. Check for compatibility though.

Yes both are Momo branded & from Subaru's accessory list & the hand brake is the "Pitstop" one.

Subaru part numbers (beware v. expensive from them)

Momo Carbon Effect Handbrake Lever
Part No. SACC2537

Momo F16 Gear **** Carbon Fibre
Part No. SACC2535

Dan has found them cheaper than Subaru are doing them for.

Hi Dan - Me too - I'm gaiter free my handbrake just goes through the rubber slot/flap thing I wonder if the leather gaiter was cut and just pushed through those slots to cover any remaining original handbrake lever...................me too confused

I didn't see it before it was fitted but I guess it was trimed to fit. It is just pushed through the flaps so it hides the shaft so depending how much there is will determine how much to trim.

Thanks - Nice flaps by the way, I think I know where I'm going now, shame it needs a gaiter though, I think they retail at about £30 Cheers Mate
