Default Mounting a Gauge on Newage

Has anyone mounted a gauge in the air vent on the o/s?

Seems a ideal low key location without the need to have a pod shouting out to theiving scum.

Does the vent pop out, any tips as I may give it a bash to see how it looks.

Hello

Was quite interested in this idea so I did a little research. To do it properly you would need to remove the dash or at least get under it or behind it this would then enable the removal of the vent and to redirect or block off the heating duct. I have included some diagrams below:
