Question Boost gauge question

I'm buying a boost gauge for my bug eye
Can anyone tell me which vacum pipe I fit the gauge pipe to?
Where do I connect the power cable to for ilumination ( exact wires would be really handy) ?
And finally do I want a gauge that reads in Bar or Psi.
Thanks alot for any advice

Wiring depends on where you are going to mount it.

The vac pipe goes to the inlet, avoiding sharp bits of bodywork or kinking it...

PSI or Bar will do, whatever takes your fancy. For me it's PSI.

I've seen an auto gauge digital one.
If I'm gonna mount it on pillar where's best place to wire it, and how do I get vacume pipe in to engine bay. Do I have to drill a hole or is there a grommit or something. I could really do with knowing exactly what pipe to connect vacume pipe to.

On a bugeye, thete should be an unused pipe, covered with a rubber cover, on the front n/s end of the inlet manifold. Remove the rubber cover and slip the boost gauge hose over the pipe. No need to T into anything then, that's what the pipe is there for, btw.

I fitted a gauge recently. went through a gromet in the bulkhead above the pedals. as for the wireing I`ll assume that you have three. +ve -ve and light.

I also fitted mine in a pillar pod. I found the wires were not long enough so I extended them then routed the cables under the dash to the centre consol and spliced them into the stereo loom. IGN, Earth and Illumination.

Hope this is of help.
