Your Recommendations for a Gauge Pod
Hello.
I have a MY99 WRX and need a 3-gauge pod to st on the top compartment. I bought one from eBay a while ago but, although the colour match is good, the holes aren't; they're a little too small and not even properly round.
Can anyone recommend a good pod that matches the dark grey interior and the gauges will fit straight away?
I've seen the ScoobyWorld and JW Racing ones in pictures.
I like the ATI one but I think it's only available for Newage models.

That looks just the jolly job!
Is this the one and did you get it from here?:
Zero/Sports Triple Meter Hood (Subaru Impreza GC8) [ZS-0930007]
I assume those are 60mm gauges. Do you know if the Pod comes in a 52mm version?

Yup, that's the one. I got mine from Scoobyclinic.
It is a 60mm pod & I'm pretty sure that's all they come in mate.
The quality and colour match is spot on, probably what you'd expect from Zero-sports stuff.

Surely you can enlarge the holes with a bit of dowel/pipe wrapped with glasspaper?
Cheaper than buying again, takes maybe half an hour and achieves a tight perfect fit IF you do it slowly and carefully
It's how I did mine from Scobyworld, which came uncut. I cut the holes with a holesaw, undersize and finished them to a tight fit.

I spent loads of time and money on fitting the gauges and pod, I shouldn't have to do that rubbish too!
You've obviously got more patience than me.

It's not listed on ScoobyClinic's website - was it when you bought it or did you do it in person / over the phone?

Picked it up in person mate. Just give em a call to see if they have any in.
Saw it in their goodies room and thought, I'll have that

No doubt; it's really nice. I just e-mailed them and they do have some but they're £100 + VAT. They're only £80 + VAT on that link I posted earlier.

Well think you've got your answer there!! Why pay more for the same product. Get it from the other site.
ZeroSports only make one pod for the classic, so theres no chance of them being different.

While sorting threw loads of photos I found these. Thought I mess with yer head.
If 60mm is a massive problem, I'd be tempted to get bigger guages, the pod really is that good, the angle they are set at, the finish, & cost compared to others on the market.
I fitted 60mm on the Dash & 52mm up the Pillar, works ok for me.

B4st4rd!
I can't get different gauges as, after weeks of searching, I managed to get a set of the original white face / green ill. Defi Link Meters - so I'd didn't have much of a choice with the size.
I might have a way through though. Someone on here machined their own adaptors and ATI do adaptors for their ePods (although they don't seem to sell them on the open market).
If I can arrange adaptors, I'll definitely get the Zero Sport pod - it looks perfect.

I had the same nightmare. Months of ringing a total of 54 companies in England, Japan & America. Could only get hold of the 52mm on the Pillar. (already had the last set of OilP, OilT & Boost from Scoobyclinic) Got the 3 guages from 2 different companies in the end.
Rocking horse poo, me thinks.
Well good look mate with the adaptors. Where theres a will theres a way

I managed to get the last set in stock from a Canadian company called Rocket Rally (after having to send some back to Japan when a company sent me the BFs instead).
I chose to e-mail the other continents - cut and paste is a lot less stressful than asking the same question over and over.
You must be commended for your enthusiasm though!

I didnt actually fit them, but I had to take it out the other week to run all the wires for the Pillar guages.
It simply screws down to the vent unit from underneath. All totally out of sight, dash destroying to get to it though.

Catching up with you Frayz, If my budget () could stretch to that sumptuous Innovate guage it would be winging its way to my motor.
Unfortunately my budget is nil, so I'll just admire yours.
