Default Needles on startup

Hi, I noticed on youtube a STI being started and the sti logo lights up, then all the needles shoot to the top. Thought it looked sweet, noticed that mine doesnt do it and according to the manual it only does it in Australian models. Anyone know if us Brits can have this feature?

Ta.

My 07 does it too.Seems like the Hawkeye got it as standard - you can turn it off though if you want.

Not me though, still enjoy turning the key and watching it.

OK, finally remembered to bring in the handbook. Although my car is a JDM, Litcho included a handbook for the USDM cars.

The "sequential illumination" of the instruments can be toggled on or off as follows:

With the ignition in the "on" position (but not actually in the middle of doing the sweep), press the trip **** while turning the Rev setting **** clockwise of anticlockwise. The buzzer will sound briefly, and the ambient temperature guage will show "ON" (sequential illumination enabled) or "--" (not).

Return the rev setting **** to its original position to complete the setting process. The buzzer will sound briefly. A few seconds later the ambient temperature guage will return to showing the temperature.

No doubt this will only work if you have dials like those shown in post #9

Good luck
