Default heater vent surrounds on classic

how the bloomin hell do u get them off removed center console etc no probs, just cant get the lil vent surrounds on either side of the dash off and also the door handle surrounds? any help would be great, thanks

Door handle surronds; pull the front section towards you and it should unclip then slide the cover to the rear of the car to unclip back section and voila its off!

Side vents may just clip in/out but not too sure as never removed em! Try removing glovebox or lower dash trim and looking behind with a torch to see if there are any screws and/or clips??

thanks blu, had a look but no screws to be seen, managed to get them out and the little top ones with a screwdriver and lots of wiggling, there is a lip on one side and a clip on the other , just gunna spray them up now

thanks chief its well worth doin if ur interior is as boring as mine. was going to think about spraying the speedo surround but think it may be a bit overkill on the old spray, end up looking like a halfords classic!

looks good,i just done some of mine the other day,same as yours,but i did the whole centre console silver too.
i added a brushed alluminium gauge surround but not too sure about it,i may take it back out,if someone can post a pic for me il show ya.

i have been tempted to get one as they look well smart, but how on earth do u get the dash out!!! i tried fitting some lockwoods but i couldnt pull it out far enough to get my hand behind it ( and i did take out all the screws before lol )

its easy,theres 4 screws in the fascia,a couple in the clear surround,take them out and the screen will just pull off,only a couple of clips hold it on

You can slide ur arm up from the left hand side of the steering wheel to reach the speedo cable, once you pull the clocks forward you can unplug the cables behind.

i didnt have to disconect any cables,i just pulled the clock face forward a little,it was enough to get into the dials.
