Default Drivers seat

Im finding that in my type r there is not enough leg room in the driving seat.
I was thinking of moving the seats subframe back a few inches to give me some more leg room so it dont hurt my feet as much being at such an angle.

Does anyone else have a problem with this and is it easy enough to do?

The back seats are out so its not an issue with leg room behind the drivers seat. Is it just a case of unbolting the seat drilling some more holes at the required distance and re fitting?

Tim

None, really. The front seat subframes are attached to a cross member on the floor which runs across at the seat's rearmost extension.. The front bolt plates are designed to sit on that crossmember, NOT on the floor.

You'd have to modify the floor and the seat subframe, then get captive nuts welded on the floor with bracing/strengthening plates, since the floor isn't strong enough without them.

Best of luck.

Just out of interest, how tall ARE you?

6ft 4 with a knee that would cause me grief if I am to crunched up on long drives.
Thanks for the heads up, guess I will have to live with it and not do long journeys.

Alernative is to fit a bucket seat with it's own sub-frame, you MIGHT get more legroom?
