Check this - Upgrade the dash...

Anyone bought this:
http://www.directcarparts.co.uk/dashdynamics.htm
For Impreza (can be seen in price list) - £60 and goes over existing dash - I'm tempted to get the brushed aluminium - I wonder what the quality it like...
Has anyone seen this stuff fitted?

Sorry, not dealt with them myself, but I have a little rule when buying Scooby parts: "Don't give up your hard-earned to companies that can't spell Impreza"!!!
I believe Nitosport do some excellent dash kits, but at a price.

I did notice that they mis-spelt it as Imprezza!!
But having said that - I just walked past an MGF at lunchtime which had a brushed aluminium interior - it looked the DB's!
I've seen the Nito sport one - I don't think they do a brushed aluminium (which matches the white dials, and the metal on the gear **** and steering wheel - and soon the pedals)
Only £60 - may give it a try - will post the pics...

AKSHAY67,
I have been looking for exactly the same look for a while now. So far I have come across a couple of kits (GGR and Larkspeed). I posted on here to find out if anyone had any experience, but got little response.
Can't wait to see your piccies and hear about the quality. For £60 it could be a bargain.
Good luck
Simon

Right, I got the stuff through at work and I have it front of me.
Its basically a brushed aluminium paper with a think coating of plastic (exactly the same feel as the plastic over the momo sign on the momo race air gear ****). My first impression is that how on earth can anyone charge £60 for this - a fiver yes, 60 no!
Anyway, I can imagine that it will look good as the colour does match the white dials, the white trims on the seats, the steering wheel and gear **** bits...So although the materials aren't worth £60, the look may be work a couple of hundred! Time will tell (i.e. will find out on w.end!)
OK, so what do you get? You get these surrounds for the following:
Air vent surround x2
Screen de-mister x2
Centre dash surround
Centre Console/gear lever surround
Centre dash surround
Glove box handle (I'll give this a miss!)
Strip between air vents (I'll give this a miss!)
Ash tray lid (I'll give this a miss!)
I think the last three would look naff...
Will keep you posted!

OK, out this on todaym and it looks ace - especially at night - the whole dash has new definition. Got the opinion of many people and they said that it looks really good.
Highly recommended - esp if you have white dials and the white bits on the momo gear **** and steering.
Should be picking a digital camera soon, so pics to come

If you want some brushed alu dials, take a look at http://www.mjdesignsuk.com , almost limitless choice of styles
Also, the brushed alu we use is proper thin brushed metal with a 3M backing, might be adaptable for a dash kit, but we'd need a guinie pig, if anyone is offering

Having seen trousers auto i'm now thinking about actually removing the surrounds & physically painting them wotever colour i fancy as his finished in titanium is the dogs do das.
Not sure how easily they can be removed thou so i may see if i can get sum cheap from a breakers incase it goes **** up & so i can have em painted b4 hand. Just thinking at da minute thou

True enough - painting the trim is the best option for a completely pucka finish, most bits should be easily removed.
Use a plastic filler primer for a proper smooth finish and once painted give it a good 5-6 coats of lacquor before polishing it right up, it does tend to look rather fine. If you don't want to colour code, I've seen some done in charcoal/anthrasite finish that look very nice indeed
