Might sound funny but when my boot was leaking l had me spoiler off resealed it and it still leaked,it ended up being some mud that had somhow got in the seal and was soaking up the water and running into the boot,l cleaned the seal and used clear sealer not leaked snice.

I had water in my boot every time i washed the car. Found it was the boot catch on the body not on boot lid, wanted moving in slightly. This did the trick.

Try a search mate, there was an extensive thread on this earlier this year, something about 2 inches of water? My search function is playing up, or I'd find it for you.
