Default ScanGauge

Well just thought I would show you this little gadget that i just received from the States.

So good in my opinion that I thought I would share it with you guys

You just plug it into your OBDII connector and off you go, as simple as that.

What does it do ??

Well it can give you the following 'real time' readings:

Fuel System Loop Status
Intake Air Temperature
Water Temperature
Fuel Pressure
Gallons/Litres per hour
Ignition Timing
Engine Loading
Miles/Gallon
MPH
Manifold Absolute Pressure
Throttle Position Setting
Battery Voltage

Had it going in my car and it works a treat.

The cost for this little beauty - approx $140 including shipping.

All in all with import tax if you get caught, works out at around £90 - excellent value for money.

You can find out more here:

Thanks for looking

I believe that Manifold Absolute Pressure does equal boost pressure.

I ordered mine direct from scangauge, phoned them up around 8.30pm which is when they are open, payed by credit card over the phone, took approx 2 weeks to get here.

No problems at all.

Love it

Just made some enquries regarding boost pressure as this is what you need to do, i tried it and it seems to work.

Put it on the MAP reading.

You take your highest reading when you floor it- say 38.2

Then you take off your idle MAP reading - say 14.8

This leaves 23.4 which i believe is PSI

You can then divide this by 14.7

which equals 1.6 BAR.

Or you can go here PSI BAR Converter

It will do it for you

It was one of the guys in the RS Owners Club that found this and they managed to sort out a group buy.

You still paid directly to Scangauge using either credit card or paypal, gave them the special code and away you go.

So i am sure you guys could do the same
