Default Replacement Gear ****

Looking to get a replacement gear ****, I would like some advice as to any special requirements.

Car is a 96 UK turbo, what sort of size thread would I need, are there any recommendations?

A lot of aftermarket versions utilise grub screws to fit the shift lever.
My preference would be the classic Momo Air Race, which is availble in various finish's eg leather, alloy.

I'm sure Subaru do a version of this as well.
TBH there's a few proper ones that go on ebay every now and again with proper threads to fit, these ususlly go for about £20~25ish.

Got myself an alloy one which is ******* freezing in the morning

Would you not go main dealer and buy genuine STi one??? With red stitching?? about £45

Should do, no problems. All the threads are the same between cars and MY's.
