Knocklink Instal!
Hi
Has anyone got their knoclink fitted in the right hand center heater vent in a later classic i.e the dash with several glove box type compartments. Pictures would be great and any advice as im about to try this soon. Does the vent need to be sealed up on this side or removed or something.
All advice appreciated.

Mine is not the same dash as yours pre 96.
But I fitted my Knocklink in the central air vents. Mine just needed uncliping to remove the vents. Then I use sticky velcro to hold the kl in place.

I used the two centre vents, 1 for lambalink & the other for knocklink. Just made the wiring slighty easier.
Plus I usually aim the drivers vent towards the driver side window, to help it clear on cold mornings.

Have you done a search to see what others have done?
There were a series of posts recently, one from a guy who'd taken his k/l to pieces, wired in new LED's on the end of a longer lead, hidden the k/l box, and mounted the LEDs in proper holders on the steering wheel upper shroud.
Someone else did it along the top outer edge of the speedo/instrument surround.
Both permanent, but looked absolutely spot-on.
Now, when are we going to get that decent weather.....................?

I know I cant wait. I noticed I was really sliding around on the road on my way to work today, roads seem really greacy. Nice heavy down poor to clean the surface then lovely hot sunshine to dry it up please!
I did see those lead extensions and must agree they did look very smart indeed. Oh decisions! Its hard when you want every thing to be perfect and bring a smile to your face when ever you see them.

yeh you're right - it's getting a bit busy !
I'm gonna remotely mount the k/l and l/l leds into the dash cowling this year.
makes them nice and visible and in your line of sight.
Iain.
