Default Cobra Evolution or Equivalent

So i'm after a couple of bucket seats for my scooby and am thinking Cobra Evolution http://www.cobraseats.com/item.asp?pg=MS&id=EVO_T

are there any thoughts on this and does anyone know of a cheap reliable source for a couple?

Thanks
Chris.

supplied and fitted a lot of these, very good for the money and pretty comfortable.................main issue (as with all seats with the 'wing' type protection) is side view or lack of it..............

can be hard work in a road car, but extra security on track

Do the Cobras just bolt in or do you have to drill the floor?

the "evoloution is only available in a 'side mount' version which means that you really need a set of seat bars fitted to bolt the alloy seat frame to...............

there are some more basic seats that can be adapted to your std seat frames or bolted in using a custom version.................

best not get into the price thing on here, but i'll mail later

I had a set of Cobra Monaco's for a bit in my car, they are base mounted and cobra do a tailored subframe for the impreza that fitted pretty well
Not all that comfortable ( i didn't really have a problem with them but the missus hated them ) but they are nice and supportive.

Looking at the demon tweeks catalogue, you can get tailored subframes from Cobra, Corbeau and i think sparco, so if you are looking for something nice and easy to fit go for a base mounted seat with a tailored subframe

as for suppliers, demon tweeks are good (buy some whiteline stuff and you may get discount ) and i think carnoisser or whoever they are have a reasonable reputation
Oh, got my seats from ebay, brand new and a lot cheaper than any other supplier, and subframes came from demon tweeks

Corbeau also offer the Revolution, which appears to be identical to the Cobra Evolution.

Anyone got Corbeau seats at all ???

Very happy with my Corbeau Pro-sports - not quite as cabin filling as the evos !!

Subframe had to be adjusted to fit...

Direct from Corbeau, always best to go direct, and I'm fortunate that they are local to me (amazingly small firm though, lots can depend on the time of year etc as to how busy they are, and how helpful they can be, but always seem pretty decent).

www.rallynuts.com - this is a good site for buckets or road seats. If you ring them or demon tweeks you may be able to get hold of some sparco prodrive seats. VVV NICE! I know they had some a few months ago. they are similar to the sparco s-light seat but are cheaper as made from fibreglass and not carbo although you can get carbon ones $$$$$$$! Corbeau are decent though.

Default Just been sent this....

Chris

Just spoken to Cobra...

They tell me that they are just starting to sell their (Hans-compatible)
new Evolution seat. We can do this at the same price...

They are not yet fully FIA accredited though, so wouldn't yet carry an
FIA homologation sticker; not a problem if you're not competing in an
FIA event though.

The seats are made from the same glassfibre that holds the Boeing A380
wings together apparently.

The original Evolution seats are Diolen.

All the cobra seats are built to meet the same FIA standard, so are all
as strong as each other.

we can sell for £385 each, plus £19.95 carriage

Its so the seats can used with the new safety device that you see all F1 drivers wearing:
