What's the best way to improve the boot area of an MY00 4-door?
I don't know if mine is worse than anyone else's but it's CRAP! There's a poxy "carpet" that's about 1mm thick that doesn't even seem to be the right size (too long but not wide enough!) Underneath that are two small pieces of material stuck to the floor (one on each side of the wheel-well towards the rear of the car) and a piece of flimsy chipboard covering the spare wheel. The rest of the floor is just bare. The sides of the boot area have a grey coloured flimsy plasticy panel on either side, one with a little flap where the jack is located.
Most other cars I've owned have had nice boot carpets with thick sound-proofing material and quality looking side panels.
Anybody else noticed this and done anything about it?
tia,
Steve
