Exclamation

When I spoke to my insurance people about replacing the standard steering wheel on a MY99 UK car, I convinced them:

1) It was a safe modification
2) It would save them money, in the event of an accident as they wouldn't need to replace air bags
3) Removing the passenger one as well to replace with an upper glove box, reducing claims further.

If you go down the Momo route, be careful. If you use one of the bosses available from the UK, it will be for a Sport and not a Turbo car. The wheel will only be held on by a few turns of the screw!! Also you get the airbag light on.

To get a proper Japanese Momo boss for a turbo Impreza, speak to Nitosport who can supply you with one! It fits properly and disables the airbag light!

I hope this helps
Andy
