Autometer White Face Gauges - At Night ?
#3
Some of the autometers actually come with changeable covers so you can have several different shades
it depends on the type you have.
Those look like the silver faced ultra lites to me (phantoms have a black bezel, white face and light green) there is a night pic, but its awful quality :-

Pete,
Would go for 52mm or 60mm white face, red needle with ally bezel.
Not sure what gauges tho'. What would you sugget - Boost, AFR and Oil Pressure ?
Whats the normal triple gauge arrangement.
That's inverted then compared to the Standrad MY00 White Dash, as the letters glow green and the background appears black at night with illuminated orange needles.

couple of things to bear in mind with Autometer, they are not really 52mm and 60mm they are actually 2/16th (almost 52mm) but the larger size is actually 2 and 5/8ths which is more like 66/67mm so can be a tight fit into a pod.
Secondly the readings are in American measurements, so not in bars for boost its in psi and temps are in Fahrenheit etc.
By far the most popular gauges to get are boost, oil temp and oil pressure. All of them have there good points which can be argued for and against till the cows come home!
AFR is useful to see what mixture your getting but i would consider the three above to be arguably more useful.
Even though i took the above pic off the autometer website i actually think thats a night time pic of an ultra-nite who's gauge face glows, am just trying to get one of an ultra lite which is what you have pictured, the ultra lites come with red or green bulb covers, but im struggling to find a pic of one lit....
The only autometer gauge with ali bezel, white face, amber needle and green backlight is the lunar, but these are fairly new and quite expensive (and light up similar to the above i might add!)
In fact a better alternative than the somewhat budget autometers could be these for not much more than the lunars and get a proper blitz gauge, just give me a shout -
