Mods, please leave in here for a while, not had much response in interior.

Anyone know best place to get a defi boost guage (preferably steering column mounted) for a MY01? Even better, has anyone already got one fitted?

Would obviously like the full Link system but can't justify the cost for a not too seriously modded car (PPP and decat).

Money burning hole in my pocket,

Cheers

Chris

Chris,

Speak to Pete @ J-Spec, they stock Defi's and do some nice pods and stuff.

Thanks for the replies,

I have e-mailed Nitosport twice but not had a response and it's difficult to phone from work so don't know if the chap who runs it is around at the moment.

Mike, do you do a steering column mount for a Defi boost guage presumably in a 52mm size so it doesn't block out the speedo.

Cheers

Chris

Hi Chris,

Jane has mailed you back, once on the 20th and on the 21st from e-mail addy NSPORTUKLTD. There must be a problem somewhere if they haven't been received.

We have the meters and steering mounts in stock and we're fairly local in Surrey.

Dear Chris et al

(This may be slightly off topic but I couldn't see where else to comment).

I have seen the centre gauge kits that Nitosport do on a car at Bell and Colvill West Horsley - Surrey (where Nito works) and it looks very good. It does seem to intrude into the driver and passenger area (impact hazard) If you lift up the centre panel on the dash there is an awful lot of depth available at the back of the space.

Would it not be possible to sink gauges into this area in a more stylish manner? I was looking for a better place to put my VDO Dayton Nav kit screen other than screwed to the airvent?

Nito,

Don't know why I haven't received your e-mails, modern technology for you eh!!!

I'm hopefully not at work tomorrow so will call you to discuss in more detail.

Thanks

Chris

P.S. Any idea how long it would take me to get to Surrey from Enfield (N.London)?

Yep, as the largest Defi dealer in Europe we have it all; HUD's Defi display units, senor kits, replacement items Etc. all supplied from stock.

52mm on the steering column is possible without obstructing the view of other instruments, just down to fitment really.

There could also do with being an official reseller list on the uk distributors own website as well, i think that would be a good idea

Mark,

drop me an e-mail as per profile and I will reply with pictures.

I've tried to upload them on here but they are over 100K in size and it doesn't work.

Photo's aren't the best of quality either and don't do the defi's justice as they are superb and I'd definately recommend them.

Mark,

Actually, scrap that and click here I posted the pictures on the defi site. Look at Mr Dinger (not sure where they got the name from?).

Again, quality of pictures does not do the guages justice.

Defi stuff is great. I have all 6 BF gauges (still need to hook up EGT). The odd thing is that a tach is not available in BF trim. You can get four sizes in regular DefiLink trim...just plain odd.
