Cool

I have just fitteda boost guage and when I went to plug the pipe on to the little nipple on the whatever it is called that I have to plug it into near the intercooler there was alreadz a grey pipe connected, do I

1) unplug this and connect the new pipe to the Guage

or

2) use the y shaped piece of crappy plastic pipe that came with the guage and connect the 2 pipes and nipple together.

the original pipe is onlz about 6 inches long and connects to something buried under the dump valve where I can"t get to.

Cheers

Steve

If you have to remove a pipe then definitely T-piece it. I don't know what the pipe is for but just disconnecting it isn't a good idea.

Is there another nipple/pipe on the manifold?

The grey pipe probably goes to the dump valve!

Cool

yes there is another nipple in front of the one with the pipe on it, it has a rubber bung on it I connected the boost guage to this aswell and as soon as I started the engine the guage went from 0 down to 50 and vibrated lots, I did get Y piece connecter which had a brass restricter in one arm should this go to the guage? or should I just connect the pipe straight to the nipple.

Cheers

What model have you got. Mines a 00MY, removed a little bit of pipe over nipple on manifold, connected pipe work direct to nipple.

When I start engine vaccum pulls needle down to around 30hg ( I think this is the correct term, stand to be corrected). Only when on full boost do I get what sounds like a vibration from the gauge.

Apart from that no probs.

Steve that is exactly what happens to mine as mine is a MY00 also, I have been told that there is supposed to be a restrictor in the pipe which stops the needle vibrating.
