I have a problem with my glove box.

When its shut the top line starts of straight near the passenger side window. But as u go down towards the centre console there is a 1cm gap. The gap is on top of the box.

snap.

probably because it's made of egg carton box plastic. Someone on here ages ago ran through a how you remove, realign and generally bodge it up sequence. Puff maybe?

I think you need to loosen the bit that the catch latches on to - its just held by screws. You can the realign it and retighten. Does not do a perfect job but you can get it to close a fair bit better. As above, there was a thread ages ago when I did mine. Can't remember the details though!

Cheers Stu.

Sorted it. Adjusted the centre latch via the two screws.

Had the same problem with my glovebox, pointed it out to the dealer on a service and they fixed it. Now perfect (or as perfect as a nasty plastic box can be),let the dealer sort it its their job!

Wink

It's a feature of the car, "they all do that sir" Both the Turbos I've had have been the same. You get used to it. It's almost like the elbow dent on the driver door arm rest, where it isn't strong enough and the hardboard or whatever breaks, and is only held together with the tacky plastic cover They all do that......

Lol, but we love em
