Question

I've done the Blue dash LED conversion today but, I can't get the heater controls apart to do the LED's.
I can get the panel including vents out, but it only comes out about an Inch so I can't get to the screws to separate the panel from the controls
Anybody know done this before?

It this one!!!

Cheers,
Iain.

Sprayed my surround 2 weeks ago , there is 2 screws holding
cover onto heater control box . As you said it comes out about
1 inch , 1 screw each side behind controls you can feel them
but if you pull panel towards you . Look down from top you
will see screws each side (drivers side is best to see) .
The screws are long about 2 1/2 inches , you only need to
unscrew them out 1/2 an inch then panel will come off .
You will need to us a 90 degre screwdriver to get at them
or a small ratchat spanner (cross head screws).

Try that Iain .

Hope you get it off Stewart.

I dont know if it's the same as a MY93 panel but just under the vents there is a slight lip on mine there are 2 screws there holding it into the dash (screwing upwards towards the vents)

Wink

Not long finished this myself (my97)

Its a right pain but if you go and get the right tool for the job (like a spanner and pozi bit and cellotape and struggle some) it does work.
As for pulling the unit out, dont be scared you will not break it because its just clips behind there, just pull enough to get the screw driver in.
Then you've got to put it all back together.

P.s be carefull ( I wasn't) I lost a huge screwdriver down the heating duct and its still there now part of my car...
