Gus
I've just phoned Barclays (0870 600 1414) and they say they DON'T do Jap imports?
Who did you call for your quote? Is it you first time with them?
Are Barclays and Barclay Card the same people?
I'd like to know, since yours seems like a good quote.

I'm 24, they had to refer the quote to the underwriters, which came back alright. They have a gaurantee to beat whatever your re-newal quote was, so as long as you've got a quote (and provide proof) they will try to beat it.
As for them being the same as Barclays, I don't know.
I spoke to 2 people the first, who arranged the quote was James Marr, the second just processed it for me.

Cheers

Cheers Gus,
Barclays and Barclacard are NOT the same place.

Barclaycard have beaten my current company by about £20, so I might go with them.

I've heard that American Express now do insurance and are quite good... haven't got a number for them though but I'll be giving them a bell in July!

Just been phoning round for insurance on a brand new WRX from Japan. (Decided the skoda badge thing was too much even of the RS is one funky car)

Directline gave me an *excellent* qoute of £993. Thats for a 24 ys old no claims, convictions or points wit 2 years ncb. That is very good indeed in my mind.
