Any ideas where to get insurance???
Hi chaps,
Ive been off the Impreza scene for about 4 years now and just decided to get myself another classic (My fourth) But JESUS the insurance is stupidly expensive.
Im 29 with 7 years no claims and no points or convictions, in a nice, safe area in Wiltshire and im still getting quotes of £750 on a 2001 turbo 2000 thats totally standard.
IS THIS A NORMAL FIGURE TO EXPECT?
Any ideas of a decent Insurance company?
Thanks Guys

Look at the sticky threads in the insurance section, details for KM, Sky, A-Plan, Greenlight etc in there:

Try Keith Michaels - ask for Gary Moulson (Moley WRX on here)
http://www.keithmichaels.co.uk/contact-us/
we have both our cars insured with them and been using them for 5 years, not had a better quote from anyone else.

Greenlight are always cheapest for me (by a mile compared to the other specialists on here) and likewise are sainsburys for my mate.
It's impossible to say who will be cheapest for you as its like black magic however the only way is to invest some time ringing / online quotes I am afraid , PITA!
Oh and your figures sound similar to mine , 850 FC on a 02 WRX with mods etc

Genius!
And I've been wasting an extra £20 on my policies for years - damn!
And watch out for comparison sites, as when you click onto the insurer and declare mods like wheels, exhausts etc, the prices usually shoot up!

some of the nowin or theres a new company called non fault will help with alsorts of probs as their gonna get paid through some1 insurance,or you dont have to be a genius to do any claim youself they just make you think without legal ect you have no hope, personnally never had 1prob & i always take every bit of crap off my policy i can as each 1 put its up,with my new policy i just got key cover for free they usualy charge £30,some are giving free breakdown worth another 30-40 so just make sure you go through n read things, some men who stay at home looking after the kids put they are unemployed but can be classed as househusband.
