Best thing is to call the insurance specialists listed on here, try Gary at Keith Michaels and also Greenlight, A Plan and Sky. People wont be able to tell you based on the info above, postcode, mods etc will all make a difference

You got very little hope on a UK turbo too now man, you want the car you're going to have to pay the 4000.
Keith Michaels won't insure you, a lot of other companies won't insure you till you are 25, some even 30.
Sites like Elephant and Admiral are your best bet but it will cost you, and it will till you're are 25.
Unfortunately it's the way insurance is now, and hugely unfair i agree, who has the right to try stop me driving the car i want on the road, it's unreal, and if they aren't trying to stop you they are steriotyping the drivers who haven't claimed and charging stupid premiums.
Thanks
Sam

That's the way it is right now.
You will have to shop around all the usual insurers and hope that one of them will insure you at a reasonable price.

Its risk factor, post codes dont help but young driver + grp 40+ car and you are talking from the insurance co, especially on an STI if you are under 25 with no experience of such cars before.
Even on the websites when you put in x age + y car and it gives you a quote, then you try accepting it, it normally say's "please contact our helpdesk quoting reference xyz", which means "sorry, we dont do under 25's".
Its not new either, happened to us "oldies" when we were young, you should have tried insuring a sierra cosworth in the 80's luckily I just went for hot hatches which were cheaper
