Maybe try a polite PM on here but understand he does have a life outside his job.
I'm sure any reason he hasn't got back to you are genuine. I know of no other insurer who works as hard as Gary!!!

Lee - i am snowed under at the moment, so Jeremy is dealing with your quote (were waiting to hear back from the underwriters. Unfortunately your postcode and occupation is making a bit more difficult than usual)
He uses the same schemes as me, but normally does Evo's and Skyline's. He knows his stuff, and has owned a STI Type R and several Evo's.... so knows his cars aswell.

A mechanic is more likely to like their cars and fiddle with them, enjoy them.
A librarian probably uses a car to get simply from A to B.
Bit blatant but that's my take on it. Sure Gary will comment when he has a couple mins spare

Unless they have business use stated they arent covered anyway so why would they worry? If they have business use then they have paid the premium for it,so why should it make a difference?
Also I dont really understand using stats to work out higher risk occupations. Does it show regular patterns? If you look at stats there will always have to be one type of occupation that has more claims at any particular time. Unless the occupation would have a direct and obvious link to the risk why should it effect a premium? What other occupations are high risk?

The insurers know more about higher risks for certain occupations, and the reasoning behind it.
I do have a list of the higher risk and excluded occupations. Can't remember them all, but things like licenced trade (pub/nightclub workers), debt collectors, couriers, sportsmen/women, divers (no idea why), celebs, paparazzi, etc...

My insurance (teacher) was around 40% less than a doctors. I thought that doctors were supposed to have low insurance. Maybe they think that they may need to rush to incidences/emergancies, who knows but it doesnt seem to be in perspective.
