Insurers covering track time
Hi guys,
i've had scoobs for the past 5 or 6 years now and really fancy doing some track time.
I'm with Privilege at the min and although the premium is good, i fear they either won't insure me for track time, or that it will be very highly priced! (I haven't even bothered ringing them to find out lol)!!
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Cheers in advance!

Seperate track day cover is your best bet.. some insurers claim to offer track cover as a bolt on to road policies but more often than not it is not worth the paper it is written on.
Try www.moris.co.uk, you are looking at £60 ish per session.

Sure.. Well in my personal case.. a very well know insurer claimed to have bolted on track day cover to my policy a couple of years ago (not Sky or your company I should mention). I had earmarked three UK tracks I wanted to drive, it turned out two of the three tracks were excluded from this bolt on cover and when checking the cover, there was a £6500 excess. My car is worth £5000. A no brainer I think you'll agree Moley?

We do deal with 2 companies however who charge £60 per day for track cover, and only have a £1500 excess.
As far as i know they don't exclude any UK track.
So they aren't all bad

My car is worth more in parts than as a whole car, so although my car is insured for a decent amount, by the time they minus the £1500xs it isn't worth me claiming.
