Should SP30 endorsements be declared to your insurance company and if not is there a way for them to check ? A lad at work has accumulated six points for speeding over the past year and he says he is not going to declare them. My advice to him was declare all but he said his premium would go sky high. He drives a 1999 Golf GTI 1.8T and the premium is high as it is. What do you think ?

He Crashes, They investigate .. They Don't pay out... He's in deep sh*t.

Declare everything.. that's all you'll hear !

Andy

PS.. They do check when you make a claim (not sure if it's everytime.. but they checked mine out.)

Only own up if it is printed on your licence.
I had a claim when my insurance company asked me for a photocopy of my licence.
As I has a speeding conviction before points were brought in I got away with it!!

If you don't declare them, dont expect them to payout should you make a claim!

If he doesn't declare them not only will he not be paid a penny in event of a claim but the other party, if injured my take out a civil court case to get compensation from him as opposed to the insurance co.

always declare anything - insurance companies will use every trick to get out of a payout.

looks like your mate will have to do some phoning around, trying the yearly quote beating game alittle harder this time
