We have to speak to the underwriters to get them to agree to cover the Ring.
They look at each person on an individual basis.
Basically if you're 30+, have owned the car for over a year, and most importantly have track driving experience, it shouldn't be a problem.
If you've only just bought the car, or haven't been on a track before, it is very unlikely they'll cover you out there.

How come people have trouble getting insurance becuase they have only just bought a car. At the end of the day how many people buy there first impreza and keep it for over a year before they get in insured ? Surely everyone has to start somewhere ??????

They have to do what i did.....pay a lot for the first year of insurance (i paid over £1400), then once the insurers see you can handle the car without writing it off, they'll offer much better prices.

Sorry Moley. I took the reply up wrong. I thought they wouldnt even 'quote' and cover until you had a years experience. I remember my worst ever insurance payment. The first year I had my 22b I had to pay £3300 for cover. Boy was that hard to swallow. But then you want the car you have to pay.... ha !
Thx again !!!!!
