WRX at 21, any chance?
#1
I want to buy a scoob at the end of the year, I'm 21 and will have 4 years NCD (fingers crossed!).
I'd like to get a 98/99 WRX, it sounds sad but I want one with an EVO type spoiler!!
Have I got any hope of insuring one of these things? I drive a modded Escort RST at the moment and if I can get a sccob I might have to get a cossie instead!! And no-one wants to see me do that right?
Any advice appreciated.

I had my first wrx at 21. Insurance was through privilege then and was 1600 or so a year.
The following year I replaced it with a 22b at more than double the value, and apart from demanding a tracker it went down to 1400 protected.
This year it is 1200 fully comp and still protected.
Dont ask me how.
At the time I was on their old policy which allowed me an exatr 10% discount for taking a two hour masterdrive lesson. SAved me about £500 in total over all my cars and only cost me 2 hours and £38. Unfortunately their new policy doesnt offer that facility, but they still seem to be awarding me the discounts.
