Just bought my first Scooby, which Im picking up on Saturday.
Thought I should sort the insurance out, so first stop Tesco to get a ballpark figure. £630 but tracker required.
So I rang Brentacre as my mk2 16v is insured with them, £700
Onto Greenlight and they quoted £587.
So when my renewal is up it looks like Greenlight could be getting my money, 'till then Brentacre will get the money to change my policy as they said I wouldnt get any of my existing money back (£200 'till September)
Not bad for a married man, 38, full noclaims, licence since I was 18, no points and a garaged car

 

Wow....Just got it through from my current insurer ( More Than ) , i have 6 years no claims..

Done another check on moneymarket.com - money market, accounts, rates and funds
Sainsbury quoted £202....
Phoned more than and explained i could get it cheaper....They dropped it to £191.....Amazing how a wee phone call can get money off....
