PVR options
I've just cancelled my Sky subscription so will lose the only thing that was good about the Sky box, its recording function. I've been looking at other PVRs, but they seem a bit pricy for what they do. I've been wanting to get a new low power Net top style PC for streaming and other on demand services I use, so am thinking about turning that into a PVR as well.
What are peoples views or opinions? What set ups do people have? Don't want to spend more than around £500 in total, but also don't fancy spending £250 upwards on a standalone box that just records.

With the extra it would cost me a month to have BT, I could just buy a Humax box. I can't get infinity either . Second hand option looks like a good idea. Still tempted to just use a PC though.
