Been with brentacre for the past five years, obv they have sent the renewal through at more than what I paid. Who do we recommend, anyone off here do it?

tend to use both Keith Michaels and A-Plan. Gary at Keith Michaels usually does well for my car with the mods it has. though this year A-Plan came out with best deal.

For decent quotes I give Greenlight and Sky Insurance recommendations.

I used to Insure my other car with Brentacre, but they couldn't get the same price as another company using the same underwriter when it came to renew. Nice that you usually get one of the same 3 people answer the phone though.

Pick up the phone and talk to someone instead of emailling :-)

A Plan, were really good. I think it was Henry I spoke with.
He did a bit of underwriting based on google maps as our location is a bad postcode. Was very helpful

Spoke to Greenlight, they can only match the stupid quote Brentacre have offered me as they both use 'Highway'. Will contact Sky and see what they say. is it not just easier via email?

just had an interesting quote from CHurchill.
clean licences and lots of yr ncb , and another car linked to the policy , but a seperate policy for Scooby Legacy two adults plus 25yr son AND 22yr Daughter fully comp 366.
Has to be unmodified car though.... , she pays 675 for her Panda 1.1 with 2yr ncb!
so as soon as the rear suspension has been rebuilt , they will all be able to drive it !!!

I'm with Admiral, renewal/update from a 9K car to a 30K car and the premium reduced.

I think they make up the renewals haphazardly!

Insurance premiums are affected by the following:

Your personal habits (i.e. drinking, smoking etc.)
Solar flares
Your address
The price of fish on a wet Tuesday in Margate
Your car's value and age
The last film you saw at the cinema
Security features
If you wear white after Labour Day
Your family status
The gravitational pull of the moon
Claims history
Any perceived link to the Illuminati

There may be more…

Age, postcode, vehicle, claims, experience, convictions are the main ones.... but if i'm having a bad day any of the above could apply

I'm after a policy that if I change bits, exhaust, wheels etc there's no charge. Do they do that?

I'm not sure if they charge each time to add bits on - I'd imagine they would probably have an admin charge (most companies do I think?).

With my policy through Chris Knott, if I make any changes they wont effect my premium unless I add bhp or something stupid like a full bodykit.

Let us know how you get on with a quote
