Insurance cost for 18-25yr olds...
... following on from this thread..
https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...pics-here.html
I can't go through every post to see if its already been asked and answered so thought I'd make a new thread.
question..
1. What car/model and year is it (pix)?
2. what are you guys/girls paying a year. fully comp/3rd PFT?
3. what job do you do?
4. do you still live at home?
5. is it your own insurance or on someone elses?
i hope this will make interesting reading.
Phil
edited to ask, if its their own policy of insurance and not their parents etc
I'm now 32

i always wonder how an 18 year old has a new scoob - am i the only one that wonders whether its mummy and daddy or a fecking huge loan that they will pay off until they're 30.
Not to say there isnt people out there in that age bracket that do it on their own but sheesh. I pay a grand on insurance and i'm 25 with mods declared etc on an older scoob

Well, I don't have a newage, a 95 classic instead (which if course is considerably cheaper...) but I'm paying for it myself, including insurance. 24 month loan for the scoob (£4k) and lump sum saving for insurance each year.

- my99 uk turbo 2000
- aged 22
- insurance is £1750 fully comp with ecar insruance (no ncb as been driving only 9 months)
- work as a night shift warehouseman
- do i **** live at home with mummy. had my own mortgage since i was 20 before i even started learning to drive. me and the boss live together. would rather be on the property ladder young than have a fast car, although currently im managing both somehow.
yes, the policy is in my own name only. never been under anyone elses insurance, and this is my third scoob...

are all the insurance ads in the back of magazines for modded cars/young drivers/drivers with points/ actually cheaper than highstreet insurance companies when it comes to scoobs????

So then, as question 5 in the original post, whose name are these cars insured under. Yours or parents, and also are all mods declared???
Oh, i am 26, so just over the 18-25 bracket. I am paying £540 fully comp, 1993 WRX (modified - all mods covered like-for-like), live with parents (at the moment), insured in my own name
