Default Import adds £1000 to the price?

Hi,

just ran through a quote online Tesco.
I'm 29yrs old, in manchester, 2 yrs no claims, partner on the policy.

Did a 1995 5 door:
2.0 non turbo = £950
2.0 turbo UK car = £1500
2.0 turbo Improt = £2500

Why is the import £1000 more?

OK cheers myblackwrx

I don't have a scoob yet... but will probably get a cheap classic turbo but a lot of these tend to be imports so it might be a fasle economic looking for a cheaper car... I could probably go for a newer UK car that cost more to buy but less to insure.

That's why I am getting quotes to see what the options are.

I think possibly your small amount of NCB and where you live may not be helping but i think its worth phoning around (A plan via Groupama).
I must admit always prefer to speak to someone rather than internet quotes.

I think thats very sensible of you there is very little differences between a UK turbo and a wrx of the same year (STIs are a different matter though).
You get a air con and better seats (imo) in a wrx but you are still getting a turbo charged 4 wheel fun machine.

tbh would never go for TPFT.
Don't have a tracker myself but from what i heard on forums etc they only put them in a few places on the car and are relatively easy to find but that could be just scaremongering by people.
