OK.... here we go....

Just traded in my pipe & slippers (VW Golf TDI 115) for a 2001 UK model WRX 5-door.

Age 28, One years NCB (never had my own insurance till last year), SDP & commuting.... Very low risk postcode (actually, one of the lowest in the UK)

Results:

Norwich Union (renewal): £1900
Direct Line: £1390
Tesco: £1290
Privilege: £1450
ELEPHANT: £1066.

BRILLIANT! OK.... so there's a £500 XS (250 compulsory, 250 voluntary)... But who cares!

Couldn't believe all the direct line group ones wanted a tracker.... there is no car crime where I live, as there is no population!!!!

Here's a giggle though: Mate with new Shogun, living on the Island of Colonsay (it's 3 hours by boat, has 1 circular road on it about 12 miles around, and there are only 3 ferries per week)..... and MORETHAN wanted a Tracker!! *snigger* Perhaps they were scared somebody would try & drive it away under the ocean....

Off to pick up new Scoob tomorrow!! WOO-HOO!!!!

Talking about MORETHAN, they sent me a flyer through the post saying I could save £50 off my insurance and refused to quote me because I am too young (23, not that young) and the car is too high insurance group (sport, group 13) - stupid, expecially when I can drive cars with blue lights on at work

Morethan won't insure anyone under 30 on a Scoob.

"It's a group 17 car!" they say, rather shocked, followed by, "and you're under 30!".
