Question Insurance recommendations for 36yr old 1st time driver

Can anybody recommend a reasonable insurance company to take on a new driver. It's for a 36yr old male. The car is a 2yr old 1.2 Polo. I wondered if anywhere offers an introductory discount for a 1st time driver at his age?

Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up

Hi - if your mate has only just passed his test he won't get much of an introductory discount but suggest trying the following :-

quotezone
confused
dna insurance
postoffice.co.uk who offer£50.00 cashback from their already competitive rates
moneysupermarket
quinndirect

www.elephant.co.uk or www.admiral.com

should be good quotes with him being a new driver.. they are basically the same company afaik.. although Admiral were cheaper for my last re-newal, so i phoned Elephant, and they proceeded to beat the Admiral price by £70!

One of my friends had a good result with Quinn Insurance, hes only 19 and paid £1100 to insure his 1.0 Saxo.. thats not too bad for a brand new driver of his age. You can search them on www.confused.com so that site is worth looking at 1st imo!
