Okay, so Im in Somerset not E.Sussex, but I have a similar profile, with 4yrs NCD and 37. Same car, same year but mine has declared decat and unichip mods, plus a few other bits and came in at £550 with a £350 xs.

L&V have been hiking premiums to cherry pick business, they also seem to not like mods if you plan on going down that road later mate.

My motor belonged to a friend in the next street and he is 43 with 9+ NCD and no additional driver, and paid £700+ at last renewal, so he was pretty miffed when I gave him the good news LOL

Ring Keith Michaels but you must speak to Gary Moulson

I'm not sure what to beleive with regard to L&V and mods.

I declared the exhaust and wheels 18 months ago. No problem, and no change in premium. And sent out a revised policy next day.

A collegue (No-Bars-Krud), also with L&V declared some minor mods, then serious mods i.e Turbo, ECU, Chassis mods etc...again No Problem with L&V

Maybe if you are an existing customer they don't mind.

I've been with them 3 years now, so am tempted to stay.

Scott, I was with L&V for 4 years which spanned 3 imprezas at various states of tune. I thought that since I was a repeat customer with full NCB I would be OK WRT mods, but the 2.5l block was the nail in the coffin. John Banks got refused at renewal too IIRC

I am with L&V until next Thursday. Age 38 MY00 with decat, PPP, Ledas and 17's. Been with them for 3 years. Full NCB, wife as named driver, parked off road live in Surrey. This years renewal was nearly £1k.

Phoned Gary at Keith Michaels, and he saved me 40%. Better in my pocket than anyone else's.

According to some L&V don't like CC increases.
So I guess they havn't worked out the benefits of forced induction.

I just declared all my mods with L&V (see below) and the renewal increased by just £60 to £772.

Chassis :
Uprated Rear Anti-Roll Bar and Drop Links
Front Strut Brace
18 Inch Alloys (already declared)

Engine :
Replacement ECU
Replacement VF28 Turbo
Replacement Performance Panel Air Filter
Stainless Exhaust (already declared)

Brakes :
330mm Disks
Comp-B4 Alluminium Calipers

Bodywork :
Subaru Optional Rear Spoler
Subaru Optional Front Splitter

Interior :
Additional Triple Gauge Dash pod (Not DEFI)

Estaimated BHP :
300 - 320BHP

Greenlight done well and gave me a quote of £20 less, but their excess was £100 more, plus I already have a DD setup with L&V.

Hence, L&V can continue to insure me for 2006/2007 at least.

cheers for all your help guy's.
