Quotes ... should i just give up?
Well ive decided id like a new car within the next couple of months. ATM im driving a 52 plate 1.8 Focus. Nice car but i want more power. I've had my heart set on a Standard UK Scoob about MY98. However my problem is ive tried about 7 different online quotes and cant get any cheaper then £2000 (elephant).
Im 23, will have 2years NCB in January, driving 5 years, 3 points for an SP30 3 years ago and a non fault accident last year when a coffin dodger wrote off my old car.
Should i just accept im not going to get sub £1500 insurance and not bother with scoob ownership for a few years? Am i being unrealistic in my hopes? Elephant will insure me for £950 on an RS focus! yes i know they're slower, but still!

Have a look at some of the threads in here - A-Plan, Privilege etc.
Might be worth having a higher excess to lower your premium? Also, in this case, actually phoning rather than doing on-line can be a help.
On-line I couldn't get my slightly modded car below £2k! Phone A-Plan - £799. Although I have full NCB and I'm 5 years older.
