Default Switching insurance in mid-year, is it a good idea?

Switching insurance in mid-year, is it a good idea? Or should I wait for my renewal?
I'm currently with LV but would like to change my exhaust, so it may be best for me to try Aplan.
Is anybody here have an idea of the cost cancelling a policy with LV?
Cheers,
Kriss

I don't think i'd change my insurance company just for the sake of swapping my exhaust

I'd either keep the standard exhaust, just in case it needs to be swapped back (some might say this is risky) or just declare it anyway. It'll only put your insurance up a pubes-worth anyway, i'd have thought.

Well I'll call LV then, but some say they don't accept mods anymore...

I've heard that. Heard it about other companies aswell, but most nowadays will allow an exhaust and air filter
