I'm 27 with 4yrs NCB, clean license, car is MY94 WRX Wagon ,with a few mods. costing me £1400 via schofields.

Guessing your buddy is looking at anywhere between 1500 (if he's really, really lucky) to 3500.

31, with a 93 wrx full ncb and no points, £785 through schofields - MichelleWRX1994 is 21 and her last quote was £2500 for a 94 wrx (That was last year-not sure about her renewal as it was due recently)so I would expect your friends to be quite high

Thumbs down

Last year I was being quoted just over £2k for an Sti V5 - 23 year old, full no claims.

I am in a high risk area, and the postcode does make a massive difference to quotes.

If in a reasonable area he may get it for around the £2k mark IMHO (will also depend on what he has driven previously, and why only 2 years no claims)

Thumbs up

I am 30, I have 2 SP30, a total of 8 points, and one speeding offence pending. I have just re-newed the insurance on my '97 WRX Sti Type R. Last year it was £1460. This time I phoned around a bit and got it for £1260 (incl protected NCB) with Adrian Flux. Privilege are also good, and you can get an on-line quote (they list all the Impreza's including the Type R, which is nice :-))

I have just taken out fully comp with protected NCD with Tesco for a 95WRX - approx 300bhp - all mods declared for £1375, thats for 25yr old, 5 yrs NCD, 1sp60 and 3 points, it sleeps in the garage - and I have a baby monitor linked to the bedroom for peace of mind - needed Cat.1 & a tracker too!!

Last year: 23, 2 yrs NCB, 95 WRX paying £1585 with Keith Micheals.

This is due for renewal on 4th October. I am hoping it will go down a little. Should they not have sent me a renewal quote through by now?
