Question

I've seen other posts that Tesco Direct insist on a Tracker. Is this the case?

Mine's £481.90 with Tesco, who wouldn't cover without a Tracker or equiv. Wanted proof of fitment too.

That's me (Diabetic, 3 speeding points, business use, and max no claims)with Wife included.

Question

Worth the extra expense of a Tracker then? What ones are available? Any recommendations?

Mine's just a bog standard Tracker - had one fitted to all 3 Turbos owned. It's just a "find the car" job if it gets stolen. It was £250 ish fitted (I think) and £75 a year for activation. There are loads of options available now though, from several different companies too. Others in here know much more than I do about them though.

One thing that annoyed me with Tracker as a company, is they won't (or wouldn't), transfer any balance of activation payment to a new car. I traded one Turbo in June '96, having just paid the £75 in the April. They wouldn't transfer the 10 month's remaining over to my new car, but also wouldn't allow the new owner to use the cover either. I had to pay for another 12 months and so did he. Very mean I thought.
