got my renewal quote today from tesco, has gone up by £200 even though ive turned the big 30 and have an extra years no claims(7 years)

so,turned to the internet and got a quote of

ON a my03 sti ppp

HSBC £2367.60
adrian flux £1675
Esure £1478
Black horse £990
Kwik fit £2780
Norwich union £502(£1270 excess)
so,am thinking, hah! time for a car swap to a diesel punto or summot, but then along comes the quote of privlige(spelt right?),a grand total of £545 fully comp with £150 excess, bonus

aint it bizaare how insurance company prices differ
