dump valves are not modifications, they have a small one as standard. mods are usually things that improve performance, dump valves do not.

Hmmm I'm insured with Directline and when I said I had a dv they said it would up the premium by £130.

I keep the original one in the boot for quick replacement if need be

Sticking a non standard dump valve on your motor is definately a modification, if undeclared will invalidate your policy.

Exclamation

I'm with NUD, have non std alloys and WR Sport BB, both considered mods and both adding 10% each to the premium, making it a whopping £600, for MY00 classic UK.
Age 40+, 5yrs NCD.
