Default Help needed urgently, 24, 6 NCB, import WRX

Right! i need some serious help here folks! im sure someone can help me out!

iv read all the other insurance threads, and 90% suggest tesco, admiral, elephant, etc. but they have all changed their policy to over 25's only on imports recently and wont touch me!!

im 24, and 25 in May!
car is a MY95 import WRX
18's and exhaust
i have 6 years no claims
no points
no accidents or claims
car is garaged
cat1 alarm/immob
tracker

I cannot get 1 quote under £1700 till im 25 in nearly 3 months.

I had a call from a company last week with regards to an online quote i made offering it me at £1250 which i would happily pay, but i was mistaken as to who they were when the rang and now cannot find out! i have called almost every company out there!

So can anyone please advise of an insurance company that will insure me at 24 for a good price!

I bought the car last night, and its not currently insured! im seriously pissed off with all this lot!

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

if I cant get any insurance, then its gonna be a E reg nissan micra 950cc for 3 months till im 25

What about insuring (expensively) and then cancelling in 3 months time when you're 25? I'm sure most companies won't mind if you give them enough notice.

Wink

Try A-Plan. Im 24 but luckily have had scoobs since I was 22 so was insured with Tesco before they changed their policy to 25+. However my insurance was due last month so had a phone around anyway. A-plan matched tesco on my import 1999 STi. I stayed with Tesco anyway to save hassle of paper work. Quote was just under £1400 including all extras and doing it by monthly installments.

(BTW I have 6 years no claims)

Hope this helps!

i went with aplan yday!

£1700 for me tho! i also have 6 years NCB, how does that work???? and my car is a WRX not STI!! i think maybe due to you having the car a few years??? most companies have asked if i had any experiance with similar cars! my previous car was a 2.0 16v clio with 205/ton but apparently thats not good enough lol!

madness!

iv gone for the option to pay it over 3 months interest free! fukin dent in my wallet tho mate!! but its worth it

Try Egg, no one ever suggests it on here but my son (24) has a classic and is with Egg - they are the same price as Tesco. Worth a go?

Also Asda has just started insurance - might be worth giving them a try.

I know they all keep changing the rules, it is so frustrating.

blimey , my renewal was 980 from liverpool vic, hence a bargain price of 730 inc mods from a-plan.

try bell direct, were cheaper than elephant and admiral and its even the same underwriters !!
