Thumbs down 24 with 4yrs no claims, WRX insurance

Right im interested in purchasing a WRX M reg, having problems with insurance.

Did not know it was gonna be this much.

So far Tescos. Admiral and most of the others have turned me down due to not being 25, Elephant who im with want £2000++ :-(

I had a look through the forums but thought you lot may have some fresh insurance companies.

Thanks

Ross

If its an import then it'll cost you more, have you tried sourcing a UK scoob.

I'm 25 with 5yrs no claims.

I pay £850 fully comp for a '97 UK Turbo (£950 when I was 24), but I also got a quote on a R33 Skyline GTR (for a laugh!).....

£1400 !!!!!! I reckon thats pretty good.

I'm insured with Egg, if thats any help.

Seems like all of the insurance companies are tightening up these days....

18 months ago, they were quite happy to insure me at 24 on an import Skyline GTR!

Obviously they are a little bit more selective now.

I`m 24, 25 in July and have been trying to get insurance on an import for ages (years actually!!) and the only one that would quote was elephant. But I just tried www.admiral.com and they quoted me £1000 protected 5 years ncd, comp, with a clean licence and no claims. Give them a go!. When I get back from WRC sweeden, I`m selling my BMW 325 coupe, and will finally realise my dream of owning a Impreza!. Good luck mate, I know how hard getting a quote can be, I`ve tried them all! , and I mean all, most laughed!
