Its horses for courses
I suggest you go back a couple of months at least and search on the insurance thread as there are some threads with links to a full list of companies
I.e. A Plan, Barclays, Hyperformance, Schofields.............
My wifes WRX is insured with Elephant but they would'nt touch my Sti5 (which is with Liverpool Vic - but you have to be over 30 - the wife had to be over 30 also to be added)

My insurance is due for renewal now. I phoned Liverpool Vic last night and they quoted me £800 for my 03 Sti PPP. I thought that was pretty good but it's not as good as the renewal figure given by my exisiting insurer, Privilege. With them its just over £700.

How Bizarre!!
They usually dont even care......mine is running at over 450bhp through LV/Frizzell............... they dont care about mods - just load the premium overall by about £100 regardless of the amount/level of mods (only thing they dont like is increased capacity engines 2.2/2.33/2.5 - which they wont insure)

Yeah, think I had a muppet on the phone - couldn't understand while scooby drivers always change for another - they insure my JDM chipped without a prob (but it was insured b4 I first moded it)
I'll try them again l8r (elephant are just over £1,200, so looks like I'll be upgrading the car)

Did have 6 points (racing an unmarked car!) and have just droped off the small dings that had to be claimed at work!
