Type 25 and STi Forester Quotes
I'm trying to get quotes on the above for myself and the wife..39 and 42 respectively, full no claims, no cons or accidents but getting nowhere really. Tesco's want £1400 for the T25 and £1500 for the Forester, no one else so far has been able to quote.....any suggestions.

Mog,
Just the T25 is not a standard car (JDM STi with different block etc) and so would not be on the usual list of insurable cars. So I am suprised to see tesco being able to quote on it.

The T25 was quite painless to talk about with Tesco's, however they started off telling me that the Forester STi 2.5 didn't exist until I gave them the web link to Subaru Japan and then they quoted for it including the exhaust change and T25 suspension.

Get your money out Damian and get a Type 25 bought. Then you can take me for a spin!! A few weekends staying away from your regular drinking holes should see you save that premium!

Did they quote for it unmodified - the standard STi suspension and exhaust should do for the time being...

The problem with the forester was that they refused to believe it existed at first, I didn't ask for a quote on a standard car as the wife insists she wants the mods.....some good news though as Bellevue have quoted £867 for the T25 and £847 for the forester.

That's more like it... !
I still haven't made up my mind about the Forester though. Its like I want one, but I don't like the look of it much
T25 not much use to me although it is a cracking car. Mrs. ricardo is getting a RX8, so whatever I get needs to be a hatchback or an estate - otherwise we're stuck for any load carrying.

Mog,
Who are Bellevue? That's a fantastic quote for a T25! $OD the Forrester, get 2 T25's at that price!
Rob,
I had the money to convert my car to the T25 (as mine is the same model the T25 is) but insurance stopped me going for it. I have just blown that money on an 87 Audi Quattro as a second car.
