What do you drive and what insurance do you pay ?
Hey all.
Im pretty new here and im planning on buying a Subaru within the next month or two ( fingers crossed ) But before i do im trying to get as much info as possible.
Im 24 and have 5 years no claims. So far the best quote ive had was on a standard Subaru Turbo 2000 ( 2000 reg ) at £1,150 fully comp.
What insurance do you pay, whos it with, whats your age, and what car model etc etc ??
Cheers!

I'm 26
Drive an 02 Sti Prodrive
7 years no claims, no points (yet!)
About £1349 with Tescos
When I was looking at cars I noticed that it was only an extra hundred quid or so on the insurance for an Sti over the standard turbo (presumably because of the RAC Trackstar as standard) and the Prodrive was almost another £100.
Having test driven an example of each, I'd say it was worth the extra to get the Prodrive!

I'm under my dad's name and i pay £833 a year.
I hope that tesco will renew the policy with me on it as i've been hearing stories that they might not?

MY00 with minor mods, fully comp. protected 9 years NCD, no convictions, SO postcode, 38, £600 with L&V, and suddenly not very impressed with that, having just seen what craig5 is paying with the same company.

Bah ... sooo many old timers on here I'm shocked
Can't wait till clock the big three-o ... will be a mixed bag of emotions:
Huzzah ... can finally insure the Scoob for less than 4 figures with mods
Oh tish* ... I'm 30, what's the point in living anymore etc. etc.
Solution: get a Type25 then start modding it. Midlife crisis?? What midlife crisis
*shocking language I know

Right, well, you've cheered me up again Craig5, by reminding me that my other half can't drive my scoob, 'cos her licence only covers her for autos...I'd rather pay the extra on the premium than let that scatty bint drive my car!

Hey,
I didnt bother researching insurance costs, wanted the car, wasnt gonna let a little thing like the cost of insurance get in the way!!
Just purchased/insured a 2000 Uk turbo, totally standard. I'm 22, 3yrs ncb, 1 SP30, 6000miles. The only insurance company that would touch me was elephant.co.uk/Admiral. I've opted for the 10 month ncb accelerator which has cost me a very reasonable £1520. 12 months was about £1740.

I'm up for renewal now
Just phoned L&V How happy am I
my00 uk turbo
9yrs+ NCD
36 yrs old + wife on insurance
Were not interested in my mods (full decat + P1 alloys) ..the only thing that would increase insurance was if I changed the whole engine for a bigger one
My post code is NG3 which has a few dodgy areas in it
£651.99
