Insurance Tracker Needed?
Hi, I will be picking up a new imported WRX uk spec apart from cat 1 alarm.
Just had quote from my current insurers Direct Line £590 maximum ncd, 39 and live in Cornwall.
They told me though that i must have a tracker fitted along with a cat 1 alarm.
Do most insurers ask for this?
With the tracker and cat 1 alarm this will set me back another £900. but if i can get away with just cat 1 alarm this will come down to 300.
can anyone recomend good insurance company
thanks

Most people on here over 30yrs tend to use Liverpool & Victoria, Very reasonable, and good with mods too. I'm 46, 27yrs ncb, no points etc, pay £485.00 classic turbo with PPP etc!!

I've got an MY03 Sti8 PPP and when I phoned round most insurance companies would not offer insurance regardless even some of the performance car insurers. The ones that would quote all wanted a tracker so it was fortunate that they are fitted as standard. I use Privilege. £800 ish with protected NCB. I'm 38 with 4 years NCB and no points.
