Default Would you consider this L&V quote good..?

....I have a Uk turbo MY00 with a stainless steel exhaust modification. I'm 40 years old and was insured for £560 last year by Norwich Union Direct, who this year want £645 from me.
I have 5 years no claims protected.
Elephant want £765...Adrian flux £1000 !!......others won't even insure me.

Liverpool and Victoria will insure me for £600.18 with a £300 excess and this price includes ANY modification to the car engine...styling and no tracker.

Would love to think i could get insured for closer to £450/500.....anybody my age managed this recently on a similar Scooby?

MY00, tek3 with associated exhaust, intake, i/c mods, age 38, no points, 9 years no claims, SO postcode, paying virtually identical premium to yours for fully comp. protected. All mods notified.

Thumbs up Try Screentrade.co.uk

The renewal for my 96 Turbo wagon (unmodified, full protected no claims bonus, legal assistance, £350 XS) from Churchill for Social Domestic & Pleasure use for me as only driver is about £340. HOWEVER, I put the details into Screentrade and they came up with £303. Surprisingly also from Churchill who have now agreed to re-insure me at the Screentrade price!

I live in sunny rural Surrey and am nearer my 60th rather than 50th birthday so not a very good match for you but I reckon you should give Screentrade a try.

Regards

Thumbs up

Pappasmurf,
Quite a good quote IMHO. Just insured MY04 WRX PPP with L&V. £668 with 5 years protected ncd, Unlimited Buisness mileage (I do 30k year). This is with £300 excess. Went up to £720 if I had £150 excess. Chap said on the phone not interested if you have a tracker or not, where the car is parked at night (garage, driveway or road) or if you have any points for speeding. Well chuffed!

P.S. On the wrong side of 44 btw

I'm managing to insure an Evo 8 FQ330, previously an Sti MY03 with PPP for less than £600. I'm 32 by the way.

Edited to say:
Business mileage covered
Parked on Driveway
Wife on policy
350 excess
Protected NCD

Postcode will affect quotes. Maybe people could include the first bit of the postcode as part of the quote details.
