L & V ... not anymore
I posted on here about a month ago signing the praises of L & V about a month ago though stressed getting quotes from insurance companies can be a lottery.
My renewal just came through for a MY2000 turbo classic, no mods, single driver aged 32, garaged - no tracker, 71.5% no claims, protected no claims and a hefty £400 excess. Price £671.
Tried Norwich union direct - £620.
Went with Axa for £550 with a £170 excess.
Know everyones a differant case but it does pay to shop around

Too right!
I know several people who take the first quote they're given (on non-scoobies), the best advise is to phone about 20 companies, and just when you think you've got the best quote - phone a few more!

When you renew with a different Company after a claim but having your NCB protected, is that protection honoured with the other Company. I mean, they ask if you've had a claim but don't ask if it was protected do they?
I've never been in this position but since there has been recent talk about NCB protection I just wondered!

I think the way it works is that you get to keep your years of NCB and discount from this, but you still have to declare the claim. The claim will put up your premium slightly, but at least you'll keep your NCB discount.
